with phase one of the domain now open (yes, i went opening weekend and have much more to say later) and phase 2 opening in 2008, everyone is looking further into the future and seeing the growth happening in austin, especially north austin. nordstroms announced that it will open a second store here anchoring a 176-acre mixed-use development. It will be located just east of the domain and the development will have 800,000 square feet of retail, more than 3 million square feet of office space, two hotels, thousands of apartments and condos, a park and 7,000-seat outdoor amphitheater. looks like austin's growin' up...
